Performance Food Group Co. has agreed to be acquired by an affiliate of The Blackstone Group and Wellspring Capital Management in a transaction valued at approximately $1.3 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Performance shareholders will receive $34.50 in cash for each share of common stock they hold.rnThe board of directors of Performance unanimously adopted the merger agreement. The transaction will be structured as arncombination of Performance and Vistar Corp., a foodservice distributor controlled by affiliates of Blackstone and Wellspring.
