Adams Foods Ingredients Limited a subsidiary of the Irish Dairy Board, has announced it has acquired the business and assets of specialist ingredients business FoodTec UK Limited from Dairy Crest for £1.2 million. Adams Foods Ingredients, located in Leek, is a food ingredient powder blending business which specialises in sourcing, formulating, blending and packing food ingredients for UK food manufacturers and nutrition brands. Commenting on the announcement, Managing Director Gary Wells said: 'We are very pleased to be acquiring the FoodTec business which will play an integral role in the future growth plans for AFI. "This acquisition presents exciting opportunities to grow both the AFI and FoodTec businesses in collaboration with both existing and new customers across new products, technologies and processes. "Through our shared synergies we can add significant value to our customers' businesses and we look forward to building strong relationships together."
