ENAP Sipec Ecuador, a subsidiary of the Chilean state-owned company ENAP SIPETROL, began its operations in Ecuador in 2003 after Chile and Ecuador signed agreements for energy-sector cooperation, particularly in hydrocarbon exploration and development. Established in 1990, ENAP SIPETROL develops hydrocarbon exploration and production activities in foreign countries, taking advantage of ENAP's professional and technical teams in search of new business opportunities outside Chile.
