Life is good for jiangning (Johnson) Chen. For the past eight years he has been a manager at an Eastman Kodak camera factory in Shanghai. "I bought my first apartment six years ago, the second apartment three years ago and a car," says Chen. He's keeping up with the Cheungs, you might say. "Most of my classmates in college own one apartment, a few own two apartments, and quite a lot of them have bought a car." His next goal: having a million renminbi, or $120,000, in the bank. That's a lot for a 35-year-old in a developing country.
