Ohio's capital city. Ohio's largest city. Columbus. This where the land finally breaks free of the Appalachian Mountains, spilling into a city that's a mixture of East Coat aesthetics, West Coast chic and Midwestern values. It's a place where tradition mingles with innovation to create the new American city. As the fastest-growing region in the state, greater Columbus truly is on a roll. Located squarely in the middle of Ohio, Columbus' geography, people and potential are contributing to a wealth of economic advantages. Considered one of the most stable metropolitan areas in the Midwest, Columbus is America's 15th-targest city. With a metropolitan population of more than 1.6 million people, Columbus recently surpassed Cleveland as the state's largest city.
