摘要

The comments are valuable. I agree that the thermocouple was having a catalytic effect. However, in my paper [1], the tip of thermocouple of diameter 0.1 mm was covered by liquid droplet of diameter 1.87 mm and the burning process was on the outer surface of the droplet. Because the droplet volume was on the order of 6000 times the volume of the tip of thermocouple, the possibility of catalytic effect of the tip on the flame at the outer surface of the droplet seems to be very small.
