This book is intended to offer an introductory, but essential, guide to research for students (and also people in employment) in leisure, sport or tourism studies who have no previous knowledge of research methods. The aim of the book, or 'task' as the author puts it, is 'to offer guidance on making appropriate decisions in researching towards better research' (p. 1). As the title designates, the focus is on researching leisure, sport and tourism and not about research methods as such.
