Another Fortune 500 company in the US is venturing into the water business. Dow Chemical announced in September it intends to launch a business unit designed to advance the science of desalination, water purification, contaminant removal, and water recycling. Dow says the new business unit, to be called Dow Water Solutions, will use the capabilities and technologies within its various core businesses.
