The Second Call for Galileo and EGNOS project proposals under the European Commission's 7th Research Framework Programme (FP7) provides €40 million to encourage European businesses to develop new applications and services for Galileo's future operational capability.rnWhen asked: Can companies outside the European Union participate in proposals as partners of EU companies? at the Growing Galileo conference in Brussels (shown at right), application officer Boris Kennes of the European GNSS Supervisory Authority replied:rn"International partners - admittedly the text is quite confusing, and there is even a mistake. The idea is that at least 30 percent of the activities are done by the third-party country, and 30 percent of the cost. This 30 percent, in some cases it can be funded. If it's from an Industrial Policy Committee (IPC) country, then the activities can be funded by FP7. If not on the IPC list, they cannot be funded and they must bring in their own funding."
