An environmental group that sued the Interior Department got the documents it sought but not the reimbursement it wanted, in an object lesson on the ups and downs of the Freedom of Information Act. Capping a public records fight that began in the Obama administration, a federal judge yesterday rejected the Grand Canyon Trust's request for $60,785.12 in attorneys' fees and costs associated with a FOIA request and the ensuing litigation.
