摘要

E-learning provides a versatile platform through which libraries and information centers can reach their users. According to Harmon and Messina, "[a]ll libraries are part of the educational infrastructure of a community" (viii), and as such, can embrace e-learning technology to provide relevant and timely information in the most accessible format. Therefore, this resource seeks to educate library and information professionals on a series of best-practices scenarios from libraries that incorporated e-learning tools to educate their user communities. In reviewing these scenarios, information professionals seeking to develop e-learning practices can review examples of the types of tools utilized (be they blogs or screencasts) and can determine which is most useful for the type of audience and learning environment.
