Facebook, with its 1.7 billion monthly users, has given hotels a new way to flaunt their properties with Facebook Live. Big Cedar Lodge, a wilderness resort in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, used the platform last fall to show off an elaborate tree house, organically reaching nearly 50,000 fans and garnering almost 2,000 reactions, comments and shares. The Fairmont Dallas frequently takes its followers behind the scenes with Facebook Live, showing off guest rooms, restaurants, services and events.
