During the March hotelrninvestment conference in Berlin, HOTELS caught up with new Frank-lyn Hotels & Resorts CEO Michael Sagild to talk about the company's plans to grow and rebrand its collection of what is now 13 hotels-mostly in Europe. Franklyn was formerly known as Stein Hotels and Resorts, the pan-European small luxury brand, and is still controlled by Chairman David Stein out of Barcelona.rnAfter a somewhat short stint as COO of Minor Hotels and Resorts, Bangkok, Sagild is charged with reorganizing thernportfolio under the Franklyn sub-brand and expanding further into Europe, as well as Asia and the United States, with the help of new investment partner KOP Group, Singapore, which in September took a 50% interest in Franklyn's parent company, Stein Management Company International.
