British columbia Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts in 2006 launched the "tigers" human resources training program to prepare specially identified talented young hoteliers for the company's expansion from Asia into North America and Europe. Today, the first group of tigers has completed training and has arrived in Vancouver, British Columbia, in preparation for the opening of the new Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver in January.
