The underdeveloped luxury segment continues to post incredible average rates, steady occupancy figures and the best RevPAR increases in the industry. So it should come as no surprise that Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Dallas, has a new investor partner, new leadership and revamped plans to grow its respected portfolio to 30 hotels from 11 during the next five years. Rosewood has new guidance under President and CEO James F. Brown, who spent 20 years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, and fresh capital from new partner Maritz, Wolff & Co., an aggressive Dallas-based real estate investment firm that now owns a 50% stake in the company along with founder Caroline Rose Hunt.
