Thinking about moving to a PTO bank from the more traditional approach, with separate accounts for vacation, personal and sick days? This may not be the ideal time. Legal experts warn that the Healthy Families Act (HFA) pending in Congress could complicate the treatment of sick days so much that a PTO (Paid Time Off) bank might become more trouble than it's worth.
