摘要

Here's a heads-up: Researchers say a manager's use of jargon could affect a company's productivity. Reason: Workers may not understand their managers when they use phrases such as "blue sky thinking," "heads-up," and "getting our ducks in a row." That leads to feelings of inadequacy and alienation, said 42% of workers surveyed by research institute, YouGov. Fix: Suggest managers limit the lingo when speaking to workers about job-related subjects. Look out: Your star employees may be headed for the door right now because of low performers, says a survey conducted by HR consulting company, Leadership IQ. Fully 93% of high performers said slackers drag down their productivity. Low performers are like parasites, feeding off of everyone around them with their negative attitudes, co-dependency and lack of initiative.
