About one third of individuals who either have health insurance through the Patient Protection and AffordablernCare Act (ACA) marketplaces or Medicaid fear that they will not be able to keep their coverage in the future.rnAccording to a Commonwealth Fund survey, half of those individuals place the blame on the federal government.rnThe survey, which evaluated the status of ACA marketplaces and Medicaid, found that despite recent actions tornweaken the ACA, 11.8 million people still purchased health care through the marketplaces in 2017.rnSurvey. The survey—which consisted of interviews with 2,410 adults between November 2 and December 27,rn2017—questioned individuals on insurance coverage, marketplace awareness, reasons for not having coverage,rnconfidence about the continuation of coverage, and whether affordable health care should be a right.
