Wage and hour complaints are among the most prevalent workplace actions facing employers today. Publicityrnabout the rise in resulting lawsuits has raised the awareness of many workers who previously did not know theirrnovertime rights. Most overtime lawsuits and actions are being filed by employees who earn between $23,660 andrn$100,000 — those in the middle between the lower-income group that automatically qualifies for overtime payrnand the higher-income group that is exempt.
