The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) named Scott Flake manager of power generation for the utility. Flake oversees the operation of SMUD's hydroelectric, co-generation, wind, and solar power plants. Flake first joined SMUD as a contractor and was hired in 2001 as the utility's superintendent of engineering project development.
