Pretty grim fare for the pre-dawn morning before I've even finished my coffee.rnNot much later the exploits of a low-time Cirrus pilot come across my desk. This fellow popped the 'chute on his half-million-dollar SR22 because the door was open in flight. He rode his ballistic, fiberglass capsule through the clouds to smack into a parked car, but otherwise walked away uninjured.
