How many times have you been given an approach clearance to a point miles out of your way to join the arc or other superfluous transition? It's usually late at night when all you want is to get on the ground and hit the sack. Thankfully, the FAA finally was proactive and said, "Let there be the Terminal Arrival Area (TAA) GPS approach" and pilots saw that it was good. These beauties can save you hassle every day and can be used to weasel your way around delays.
