In bidding goodbye to you on this World Maritime Day, I must confess I have learnt a lot, gone through different, mostly pleasant, experiences in my office, conference room, SCI auditorium, on the deck and in the engine-room, on shore, on Indian coasts - Eastern and Western, on the islands around the country, in the public sector and private sector, with employers and the seafarers' Unions.
