摘要

Kate Mitchell, founder and co-owner of NOMAR in Homer, Alaska, set up a ten-year transition plan in 2007 to bring her children Richard and Jennifer into company ownership and management. With the development of a bag to transport salmon without marking them, growth was slow but steady, and in 1995 the business moved into town and started expanding. Jennifer and Richard plan to continue the trend of slow growth, but put into place a stronger marketing plan and greater focus on fewer markets—with respect for the company's past and an appreciation of how to make history work for the future. For the rest of the story, turn to page 22.
