In 2005, a 172-pound chunk of marble fell four stories onto the steps of the western face of the U.S. Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C.rnIt was time for renovation. A mesh building wrap, designed by printing media company Joseph Merritt & Company, Hartford, Conn., keeps up appearances for the Court's many employees and visitors and provides a fitting facade, behind which work on reconstructing continues. The building outlines are visible through the printed features on the mesh, maintaining the decorative features of the National Historic Landmark for all to see.
