Fabric in offices is conventionally used to upholster office chairs, with decorating scheme requirements more important than other issues. This concept is challenged by Herman Miller's Aeron chair, whose innovative, open-weave Pellicle fabric addresses key comfort concerns with panache, leaving behind traditional interior design norms. In fact, the chair's very success has spawned other Pellicle uses, as illustrated by the new Facilities Systems Inc. (FSI) showroom in Minneapolis.
