Rosenbauer, the vehicle manufacturer based in Austria, has recently delivered a new foam tender on the MB 3358/AK firefighting chassis to the Petrotrin refinery in Trinidad. Winfried Brandlhofer, from Rosenbauer, was heavily involved in the development of this vehicle, and he explains that Petrotrin needed a fire truck that covered all types of risks in the refinery and in the surrounding area. 'Petrotrin required the chassis to be powerful and suitable for off-road operation. This is why we used a Mercedes Benz Actros 6x6 chassis with a 578 HP engine, with all wheel drive and single tyres.'
