My knee-jerk reaction was Athens in 2004. The main precinct and other buildings worked together. The velodrome was a beautiful structural form. I was there when some of the Brits won gold, and the atmosphere was fantastic. But that was tainted by a revisit a few months later, when the facilities were rusting and dusty. So I have to go back to Barcelona in 1992 in terms of what the Olympics has done to regenerate a city. It has to be Munich, because of its design consistency, from the landscape to the signage. It was very advanced for its time. I think it's yet to be bettered. Clearly the main stadium was a very exciting piece but what really makes it work is the way the whole landscape and the central Olympic Park create a place for the superstructure. Even if you took away the superstructure, the imprint of the Olympics would always be there.
