摘要

The challenges in scholarly communication have inspired many initiatives to make science more open, transparent, rigorous, and effective. In the last few decades, we have witnessed myriad efforts initiated from all parts of the sector, including flinders, universities, publishers, researchers, and startups. New platforms and journals for alternative publication outputs were launched, alternative metrics were introduced, and cross-industry groups and discussion forums were established with the aim of bringing long-lasting improvements to scholarly communication.
