Springer Nature named Tim Britton its new managing director of the Open Research Group. In this role, he will lead the company's open research portfolio, which includes BioMed Central, SpringerOpen, OA journals from Nature Research, and OA monographs from Springer and Palgrave Macmillan. Britton has decades of experience in the marketing and research information industries.
