Just a few months after Marcie Granahan took over for Bonnie Lawlor, the longtime executive director of the National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS), approximately 200 people gathered in Philadelphia for the organization's annual conference. Held Feb. 23-25, 2014, the conference-with its theme Giving Voice to Content: Re-Envisioning the Business of Information-was brought to life as three-fourths of the assembled group used clickers to cast votes on information topics presented by the speakers. Real-time results and charts were automatically collated as the audience participated.
