How can public libraries leap from the backwater of recreational reading to the realm of essential services? In a word: education. Education is a core value of our society, and the process of closely aligning libraries with education can bring many benefits to us and our users. How can we move libraries into this sphere? Author Valerie J. Gross has devised a strategy that public libraries can use to improve services, enhance public image, and maximize support.
