Although libraries should provide equal access to all patrons, that doesn't always happen, especially for those who are print-disabled. To address these concerns, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) recently released a report titled "Manifesto for Libraries Serving Persons With a Print Disability: Final Draft." The more than 161 million blind and partially sighted people worldwide are not the only ones who experience print reading challenges, according to the report. Individuals who have physical, perceptual, developmental, cognitive, or learning challenges also cannot read traditional print materials effectively.
