1.Libraries in Greece are getting more mobile-friendly: 55% of academic libraries and 17% of public libraries now offer mobile-friendly websites to their patrons. Reader interest in ebooks is also skyrocketing. Despite the economic crisis and limited library staff time, 20% of libraries in the country have a web presence. Greece's new national policy is to deliver enhanced services to patrons and to educate library staff. 2.UCB Pharma in the U.K. helps 10,000 library users in 29 countries with research. Today, it's vital to deliver scientific literature for scientists and researchers on the road. During the past 18 months, the UCB Pharma team has been trimmed to half its size; however, more services have been added, enabling the librarian team to maximize use of licensed content. The team is listening to its userbase, testing devices, and running pilot initiatives so patrons can have library services in their pockets.
