Andrew Prozes officially retired as CEO of LexisNexis and from the boards of Reed Elsevier at the end of 2010. Prozes, who was CEO and executive director of the Reed Elsevier boards (Reed Elsevier, PLC; Reed Elsevier NV; and Reed Elsevier Group, PLC), took over the reins in 2000. With the start of the new year, Reed Elsevier's risk solutions and legal businesses will operate as two separate units, each with its own CEO who will report directly to Erik Engstrom, CEO of Reed Elsevier: Jim Peck is CEO of risk solutions, and Mike Walsh is CEO of global legal businesses.
