1. ProQuest recently acquired BNI (British Nursing Index), a U.K. nursing and midwifery database. At BNI, librarians index the information services for nurses and midwives, which include a collection of more than 240 English-language titles. ProQuest plans to expand BNI into a full-text resource that will extend beyond the U.K. market. BNI content, which is updated monthly, can be accessed on the ProQuest Dialog service and will be cross-searchable on the unified ProQuest platform.
