Scopus has become the go-to source for data to establish the annual The Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) World University Rankings. The London-based THES weekly, which covers higher education topics, has been publishing ranking reports each year since 2004. THES works closely with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), an independent network for higher education, to help with its research and data analysis.
