American business executives still love to see their news in print, according to a survey by Ipsos Mendelsohn. The survey polled about 8,000 senior and C-suite execs who are responsible for $1.4 trillion of business spending and earn $246 billion collectively. The survey reported that 88% of the 2,252 respondents say they read the last issue of a print media, and 59% reported watching cable news within the previous day. Blog readers accounted for 32%, and 18% reported downloading a video podcast. Among the favorite weekly publications were Newsweek, Business Week, and Sports Illustrated. Respondents reported that local newspapers were their primary print source for U.S. and political news, but they turned to national newspapers for their business news. Business magazines were listed as the main source for any industry news.
