The SLA announced the results of its 2008 board of directors' election. And here are the new winners:rnGloria Zamora of Sandia National Laboratories will serve as the association's next president-elect (3-year term). She has 30 years of experience in the information industry and has been an SLA member for 27 years. In addition, she served two terms as president of New Mexico's Rio Grande SLA Chapter and two terms on the SLA board of directors. Her new term will begin in January 2009.rnOther newly elected board members include Susan Fifer Canby of the National Geographic Society, who will serve as the chapter cabinet chair-elect (2-year term), and Tom Rink, who will serve as the division cabinet chair-elect (2-yearrnterm). Deb Hunt of the Exploratorium and Ty Webb of InfoWebb will serve directors (3-year term).
