When I began typing this, the Super Bowl kickoff was about 4 hours away. As you read this, it's now March, a month associated with leprechauns, the arrival of spring, and the general "wearin' o' the green." The question that was answered on Feb. 6 was whether here in the Philly tri-state area, green would be worn literally or figuratively. If Donovan Mc-Nabb and the Iggles (only non-native Delaware Valleyans say "EE-guls") had out-dueled Tom Brady and the Pats, there would have been a yearlong sartorial celebration of championship, Eagles-green clothing. But, since New England reigned supreme, the color will be expressed figuratively, as in "green with envy." In any case, March madness will not just be connected to NCAA basketball brackets and buzzer-beating shots; it will reflect the collective state of mind of the Philly area—just plain mad. But before the madness begins, here are three winning articles from Computers in Libraries, ONLINE, and Searcher.
