Acomplete packaging line that makes full use of robotics and a refined system of conveyor handling to provide speed, flexibility and gentle handling for soft, fragile leavened bakery products has been built by Italian manufacturer PFM for one of the country's leading confectionery groups. It handles tartlets, doughnuts and blueberry muffins, creating a primary wrap at speeds of 250 items a minute followed by secondary tray packing and overwrapping in a variety of formats.
