The enthalpy of solution of SrLaAlO_4 in the 2PbO. B_2O_3 melt at 937 K was measured using a high temperature Calvet microcalorimeter. The enthalpies of formation of formation of SrLaAlO_4 from the constituent oxides and constituent elements at 298.15 K were determined to be -97.7±5.5 and -2422.9±5.6 kJ/mol, respectively. The partial pressures of the vapor species over molten SrLaAlO_4 at T_m=1923 K were evaluated. The equilibrium oxygen pressure at 1923 K was found to be 5.05 x 10~3 Pa.
