The Federal Aviation Administration seeks to establish a center of excellence for unmanned aircraft systems to coordinate research and development efforts to help integrate drones into U.S. skies. With the aim to competitively select this center of excellence within the next year, the FAA is looking for a team that can help support research areas including pilot certification and detection and avoidance in the air, according to a March 31 notice on the Federal Business Opportunities website.
