Now into its third decade, the CDO market has matured. Over the past 10 years the market has evolved to include multiple asset classes, has addressed many investor concerns, and has worked through one of the worst credit cycles in history (2000-2002). CDO technology will continue to be employed and evolve to meet investor demand. Although we don't expect the market to grow at the rate seen in the late 1990's, as long as the motivation to diversify credit risk persists and the investor community can be attracted by the prospects for yield enhancement, the CDO market should continue to grow.
