摘要

How is AgustaWestland faring in the S. Korean market in particular and the Far-East in general? AgustaWestland has been seeing a constant growth in the Republic of Korea and in the Far East in general, consistent with the company's global growth. The company has a longstanding and well established presence in the Republic of Korea with approximately 50 helicopters of various types already sold or in service performing a range of military, parapublic and commercial roles. This year 2013 has been very satisfactory especially with the important success of the Maritime Operational Helicopter Programme won by the AW159. But I'd also would like to mention there are good opportunities in the VIP/corporate and parapublic markets including SAR and fire fighting/aeromedical missions. The AW139 is our most successful commercial model in Korea with orders by the Coast Guard, several fire fighting departments and leading company Samsung. The general success we've experienced and expanded in decades convinced us it was necessary to open a local office to support the business and stay closer to our customers.
