Ontario is helping Flying Colours Corp., expand production at its facility in Peterborough. The new 20,000 sq ft was completed in April 2014 built at a cost of $3.5 million is being used for projects in aircraft completion, maintenance, refurbishments, avionics installations and upgrades and full interior completions. Other projects in the pipeline include multiple large cabin completion/refurbishments for both VIP and special mission aircraft, and it is anticipated these projects will have significant maintenance tasks associated with them. The company is also in the final negotiating stage with an Asian client for a multiple aircraft contract for the unique Flying Colours CRJ ExecLiner conversion. Besides, Flying Colours Corp. is also seeing the beginning of work to upgrade the existing Peterborough paint facility to provide space for larger aircraft.
