Can you provide an overview of Boeing's presence in India? Over 70 years ago, Tata Airlines flew the DC-3 aircraft in India; since then to the 747s, 777s, 737s and the game-changing 787 Dreamliners, Boeing has been the mainstay of India's civil aviation sector with airlines like Air India, Jet Airways and SpiceJet. More recently, in 2013, with the arrival of military aircraft such as the C-17 Globemaster III strategic airlifter and P-81 maritime surveillance and antisubmarine aircraft, Boeing has started to play an important role in the mission-readiness and modernisation of India's defence forces.
