The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency in cooperation with Tangent Link yesterday organized the Asian Coast Guard Conference-The future of Maritime Coast Guard Operations in Asia, in conjunction with LIMA'13. The conference was officiated by Ybhg. Datuk Haji Ahman bin Haji Maslan, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Department. Among the dignitaries present at the opening ceremony were heads of ASEAN Maritime Law Enforcement Agencies, Malaysian Government senior officials, MMEA officers and traders participating in LIMA'13. According to Tangent Link, A key feature of the Asian Coastguard Forum was the announcement by First Admiral Maritime Mohd Taha Bin Ibrahim, that the MMEA has just opened the MMEAs Coastguard Academy on the 2nd March 2013.
