Launched as a brand new initiative in 2010, the UAS Zone was one of the most highly rated special features of the Farnborough International Airshow. The zone will return at the forthcoming show in 201 2 with AUVSI, the world's largest organisation exclusively dedicated to advancing unmanned systems, as Exclusive Association Partner and will be re-branded as the 'Unmanned Systems Showcase'. The area will be open to all unmanned systems including aerial and ground vehicles to exhibit.Because of the success of this feature area in 2010, airshow organisers Farnborough International Ltd (FIL) are expanding the zone for next year's show to offer greater opportunities to companies who wish to take advantage of more targeted exhibiting and specially priced, inclusive packages will be available to exhibitors in the Zone to maximise value. Features of the showcase will include an indoor demonstration area for flying small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) and for demonstrating Unmanned Ground Systems. Larger Unmanned systems are also invited to participate in static displays within the area.
