摘要

The new integrated terminal of the Mangalore airport at Kenjar, eight kilometres from this coastal city, became operational on August 2. In fact, this new terminal building built at a cost of L 1580-million was inaugurated on May 15 by the Indian Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel. The first flight to land at this terminal was Air India Express IX-812 Kuwait-Bahrain-Mangalore with 175 passengers. The new apron at this terminal can accommodate upto five wide bodied aircraft. Further this terminal features two aero bridges, in line baggage system, flight information displays, CCTVs as well as security equipment including metal detectors and x-ray baggage inspection.
